The Story
Sometimes the story of a quilt unfolds while it is being made. I've always loved interlocking links in quilt designs and as I was piecing this quilt, wondered what meaning it might hold.
My thoughts drifted to the graduation quilts that my cousins and I received from our grandma and then to future generations who might not share that tradition. My thoughts moved back to the quilt design and all the different hats I wear as a wife, daughter, sister, teacher, quilter, friend, business owner, and more I haven't thought of.
While I enjoy all these facets of life, it can also feel tumultuous and overwhelming. I noticed that the interlocking center square seems to be holding each of the quadrants in the quilt together. That's when I remembered, in the midst of life's beautiful chaos, my personal faith intertwines through all the parts of my life and keeps me held together.
